kim's choice messages

    resources

These messages are ideal for Women's Ministry groups in the Seattle area who want to take a break from the in-depth bible study format because these are geared for applying the concepts shared, rather than filling out daily study pages.  All of the messages are approximately 30-40 minutes in length.  Kim can present either a single message or visit weekly with a package of your choice.  For out of area interest a weekend retreat package can be customized.  Each message includes discussion questions for small group interaction.  If your group runs 15 women and under your session would best benefit from the discussion time facilitated by the speaker.  For groups over 15, smaller group discussion time can take place following the message.   Pricing for various packages are listed below.

    Relational Choices

    Chai or Chores? Choosing Friendship
In our busy lives , it's sometimes easier to get our "to do" list finished before choosing to nurture those significant friendships.  True friendship takes effort to make and work to keep.

Charles or Chill? Choosing Your Marriage
No matter where we are coming from in each of our marriages, the tendency is to feel dissatisfied.  This message examines the root of this tendency and how to strive for the marriage God intended for you.

Children or Channels? Choosing to Parent
Children do not make a family, they expand a family.  This message will explore child-centered parenting, learning how to ask for forgiveness, training the heart and many other helpful tips in the parenting journey.

    Chocolate or... Chocolate? Choosing Church
Some things just don't involve a choice, such as chocolate...and going to church.  The focus however, is not just about going to church, but enjoying the fellowship God offers us in our daily walk with Him.

    (Related Topics/Not Necessarily Relational)

    Check or Charge? Choosing Affordability
We often allow our emotions to color our financial decisions.  Could it be that we are often not shopping for food or clothing, but for an experience?

Cheerful or Chatty? Choosing Your Attitude
Our bad attitudes come from the negative circumstances in our lives and the uncertainty those circumstances bring.  Demonstrating a cheerful, godly attitude takes personal examination and careful study of God's word regarding gossip, slander and a negative spirit.

    Personal Choices

    Perfume; Choosing Your Fragrance
We'll often hear, "Do you know your Father's voice?"  But consider the question, "Do you know your Father's smell?"  God indeed has a smell and is the original perfumer!

    Shoes; Choosing Your Destination
Our first step in finding our true destination is learning to trust God.  We need to have full confidence in the fact that He has the best plan for us.  We cannot figure it out better, as much as we try.

    Hair; Choosing Your Style
Exploring and discovering our unique spiritual gifts.

    Clothes; Choosing Your Armor
Seeing the "Armor of God" in a fresh and freeing perspective.

    Lipstick; Choose the Long Lasting
As much as we'd like to be "long lasting," the truth  is that we barely make it past 9:00am!  But what joy we can find in knowing that God is indeed able to stand through it all and that He's completely faithful even when we falter or our world does not show faithfulness.

    Exfoliant; Choosing Renewal
Cleansing, refreshing, renewal; we need to constantly "exfoliate" the inside as well as the outside.

    Bling; Choosing Your Uniqueness
Do we experience "peer pressure" as adult women?  Absolutely!  And it's robbing us of our God-given uniqueness.  We will learn how to be different for God and awaken those hopes and dreams that are uniquely ours.

    Daily Choices

To Be or Not To Be: Choosing Rest
Emily Green Balch said, "I find it right and helpful to create parks in our crowded and overpopulated minds."  It's trying to take the word "rest" and remove thoughts of sleep, vacation, or sitting in front of the t.v. with a big bowl of ice cream and replacing it with silence, solitude, and reflection.

To Chew or Not To Chew: Choosing Health
What exactly is health?  If you google the word you'll end up with 1,160,000,000 options!  This message focuses specifically on food, often an idol in our life.

To Fret or Not To Fret: Choosing Peace
God is pretty clear when it comes to worry.  He says, "Don't!"  How we need help with this one.  Worries will be a steady invasion in our life, it's how we deal with it that counts.

To Remodel or Not To Remodel: Choosing Change
Everything is always changing.  Even change changes!  This message will help us get the big picture, keep our expectations realistic, develop our own personal change tactics, and learn how to do some anchoring.

To Bow or Not To Bow: Choosing Prayer
We'll take an unusual slant with this critical and challenging topic.  For example, healthy prayer can be like vomitting, leaving it all in the throne!

To Break or Not To Break: Choosing Brokenness
In the physical world when something breaks it lies there in a thousand pieces.  So if we were to "break" nothing would get done.  So we don't.  We hold it all together.  Could spiritual brokenness possibly look different?

To Dance or Not To Dance: Choosing Joy
I love to dance, but don't do it enough.  There is something to celebrate everyday, you just have to find it.  And when you do...DANCE!!
